The inherent challenges are dealing with many part numbers, a tremendous learning curve, installation error, polarity, harness modifications, software settings, and the integrity of the connectors used in the installation process. Fortunately, The Widget eliminates the guesswork. Vehicle manufacturers are still designing automobiles around a common replaceable component; the battery. This gives us the opportunity to provide a single SKU solution to aftermarket vehicle security. The Widget interrupts a vehicle’s positive battery cable and reduces available current to the hosts operating components. The symptom is a dead battery. When The Widget is disarmed, the vehicle behaves as if nothing was ever installed in the first place. Two versions of this device are available; an immobilizer only device, and an alarm/immobilizer combination device. The alarm/immobilizer combination unit has an additional built in impact sensor (with 3 settings) and voltage sensor to warn against intruders.
